Dispatches from the Frontline
A MF Cultural Life Series event
Hosted by:
Pamela Creed
November 6, 2022 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
$15.00Excerpts from the diary of a young Victorian nurse, Sister Nan Reay who served on the battlefields of the first world war in France, are brought to life in an illuminating and engaging performed reading, by Geraldine Cook-Dafner.
Sister Reay’s dispatches vividly portray the trials and tribulations of life at the front, and through her diaries we learn of her extraordinary courage, resilience and persistence.
The performance will be followed by afternoon tea and a Last Post service will be dedicated to all those who have nursed, and continue to nurse in conflict zones.
A special opportunity to experience history from a unique perspective, in a place dedicated to remembrance.
