We are very proud to be working with one of our members, Gareth Andrews, to bring you this exclusive Victorian “On Country” Aboriginal Immersion study tour.
Like our other study tour, you will be the ones that choose the final dates of travel. Join us in the digital world for an information session. A rough guide of the 4 day, 3 night experience is below.
Life Again’s team have co-created and deliver in partnership with Aboriginal partner organisations and Traditional Owners of the lands in which we will visit – reaching across cultures and breaching the divides between centuries, thought processes, religions and legends. In so doing they deliver a tangible and meaningful experience Life Again’s pillars – ‘connection’, ‘storytelling’ and ‘giving back’ (volunteering).
When we think of unique and vibrant aboriginal experiences we often think of the expansive beauty of the Northern Territory and the likes of Kakadu National Park, however those rich, dynamic and vibrant Aboriginal experience also exist within our beautiful volcanic landscape which is abound with lava flows, wetlands, craters, maars, crags and forests. This experience will be a powerfully crafted and unique experience that takes place across the dynamic Gunditjmara landscape, offering an Aboriginal cultural immersion experience with rare access to Country, Story, History and Culture, right here in Victoria.
ABORIGINAL CULTURAL COMPETANCY WORKSHOP
3.5 hours, delivered independently of (prior to) “On Country” experience.
In line with Life Again’s guiding principle, No Change Without Understanding, we ensure that all participants in our programs complete a four-hour cultural competency training prior to heading out “On Country” with our Aboriginal Partners. This Program offers a practical understanding of Aboriginal culture for current and/or future engagement
4 days, 3 nights.
Day 1 – Welcome to Country
Day 2 – Budj Bim and Lake Condah
Day 3 – The Grampians National Park & Halls Gap
Day 4 – Day of Dreaming & Integration – Halls Gap
ACCOMODATION & TRANSPORT
Accommodation will be comfortable motel style (3 star minimum), with individual rooms for each participant. Shared accommodation can be arranged at a discounted price.
Nights one and two will be in Warrnambool with night three in Halls Gap.

10-12 participants (minimum 10) – $3,895 per person 12-20 participants – $3,495 per person
