Lunch with Sister Angela Ryan

Hosted by:

February 16, 2017 @ 11:30 pm - February 17, 2017 @ 1:00 am

"Haydnʼs Romance certainly screams Mozart in the beautiful sweeping lines played sensuously by lead violinist Rachael Beesley. Having recently launched Orchestra Seventeen88 in Sydney, itʼs no wonder that Rachael is highly regarded as guest concertmaster and director.”  Classikon 2015

Rachael holds a BA in Music from the University of Melbourne, a Grad Dip of Arts in Music, and a Master of Music from The Royal Conservatoire, The Hague. Rachael is a regular member and guest concertmaster of some of Europe's finest ensembles and orchestras, including Anima Eterna Brugge, La Petite Bande, Il Complesso Barocco, Restoration Company and the New Dutch Academy.  She performs regularly with Les Arts Florissants, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Combattimento Consort. Currently based in Melbourne after studying and working extensively in Europe for 14 years, Rachael has made a resounding impact on the music scene, performing, educating and directing programs while also maintaining a successful international career.

Limited to ten members, this intimate format goes to the core of our objectives to uncover the personal and extraordinary stories of the interesting people who call Melbourne 'home'.

This will be a unique opportunity to hear a Melbourne Story in an informal setting at 'The Duke' in Flinders Street.
