Melbourne Forum is fortunate to have one of Australia’s foremost international lawyers speak to us about the economic outlook for business in our region and beyond in the second of our economic series.

John Denton is a partner and chief executive officer of the law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth. For many years he has been focused on Australia’s business relationships abroad in various capacities, including chair of the Business Council of Australia Global Task Force. He was an original member of B20, the business group that grew out of the G20 process. He was a member of the advisory panel for the Australia in the Asian Century process. He has been chair of the United Nations High Commission panel in Australia for more than a decade. He is a member of the board of Human Rights Watch.

John was awarded an Order of Australia (AO) in 2015 for his services to Australia’s engagement with the rest of the world.
