Leading the charge against domestic violence

- Members' Lunch with the Hon. Fiona Richardson (waiting list only, sorry)

Hosted by:

March 2, 2016 @ 11:30 pm - March 3, 2016 @ 1:00 am

Fiona Richardson MP is Victoria’s Minister for Women and the first ever Minister for the Prevention of Family Violence. First elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Northcote in 2006, she was re-elected in 2010 and 2014.

In her current position as Minister for Women and Minister for the Prevention of Violence and having had the benefit of strong female role models through her lifetime, Fiona is pursuing her passion of empowering and improving the lives of women across Victoria. In her short time as Minister, Fiona is immensely proud of her role in establishing Australia’s first Royal Commission into Family Violence, knowing that it is an opportunity to change the lives of women and children and establish a culture of non-violence and gender equality.

As a celebration of International Women’s Day 2016, hear Fiona’s reflections on the past year and a half, and her vision for achieving equality for women and children.
