Depth and Impact of the Advisory Board Sector

Drinks with Louise Broekman

Hosted by:
Peter Lamell

April 15 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

$45.00 – $50.00

Louise Broekman, Founder of the Advisory Board Centre, is an award-winning entrepreneur, researcher and business advisor with industry and government recognition at a local and national level for her contribution to the Australian business sector. Louise has the unique advantage of having been on both sides of the table; in the shoes of a founder and that of a chair of multiple advisory boards.

After establishing an advisory board in 2005 for her own business, Louise recognised first-hand how a well-run advisory board can positively impact CEOs and the business at large. Upon exiting her multinational business, Louise served as chair for commercial advisory boards before starting her second business. Louise facilitates leading executive education programs for incredibly ambitious, progressive, and committed advisory board members, supporting their professional development and in turn, the businesses that they serve.

Louise will discuss their State of the Market report and how the two megatrends of changing governance structures and the consultation with the stakeholder economy are driving new growth and new methods in the utilisation of advisory boards. This broad and agile use is also creating different value and risk profiles for advisory board professionals including:

– The global professional advisory community supporting organisations with strategic insight and foresight at a board level.

– Corporate entities leveraging advisory boards to support governance agendas and decision-making cycles.

– Business owners and executives informing business confidence, the constraints, and where advisory boards are adding value.

– Government, funders, banking sector and industry associations understanding where and how organisations are seeking support.

This is an outstanding opportunity for members, potential members and guests to learn more about the impact and importance of the advisory board sector.
