We are a community of curious, connected and interested Melburnians contributing to and engaging on the important issues of today and tomorrow.
Melbourne Forum gives you access to the highest level of expertise and real-world lessons that our conversation leaders – all with a reputation for excellence – bring to the table under the Chatham House rule.
We are committed to providing a platform for, and the increased visibility of, diverse voices.
With varied formats (in-person or virtual; conversation leader or members engaging with each other; learning from experts or new experiences) there are multiple ways to participate.

Membership Renewal
Hosted by:
January 31, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - February 1, 2016 @ 10:00 am
It is that time of year again and I remind you that membership renewals for the 2016 calendar year were sent out on November 26,2015 with payment being due by 31 January 2016.
As credit card payments incur a fee, we prefer payment of membership via direct debit. Our details are: Melbourne Forum Limited, Bendigo Bank, BSB: 633-000 Account: 150170199.
Our membership has now grown to 229 – with six more pending! At our current growth rate, we will reach our membership cap of 250 during 2016 or soon after.
The quality of our speakers across 68 events in 2015 has been outstanding – a rich menu of speakers some of the best known being Miriam Margolyes OBE, Kim Williams AM, The Hon Tanya Plibersek and Prof Gillian Triggs presented. These people lead very interesting conversations, but it is often the topics and people that we know little about that expand our knowledge and leave the biggest impressions.
We have an exciting start to our 2016 calendar with Robert Richter QC, Carolyn Viney and Ged Kearney all locked in for lunch. David Marr and Ahmed Fahour have been secured for the start of our 'Signature Dinner' events and we will continue our former premiers program.
We will be introducing a 'Sporting Insights' program in 2016 as well as 'Melbourne Stories' lunches on the last Thursday of each month that will only seat 12 people.
We will be upgrading our website to make it easier for you to access the program and book for the many great breakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks events and a culture focused arts program.
Due to the growth of our membership base and our commitment to ensuring that events remain as intimate as practical, many have been “Members Only” and that will be the case again in 2016.
I look forward to your continuing membership of Melbourne Forum for 2016 and your participation in many of our stimulating and informative events.
Because of our growth, we have reached the GST threshold so that tax will apply in future – making the three-year membership option even more attractive!
