Social Cohesion. What is it and why does it matter?

Hosted by:

September 10, 2014 @ 3:15 am - 5:00 am

How well new arrivals to Australia settle into our society is an indication of our commitment to a successful society. Nearly 50% of us were born overseas or have a parent that was born overseas. Australia has been a great example of cultural inclusion.

The Scanlon Foundation has been sponsoring ground-breaking research on our progress with social cohesion, including the development of an index with which we can measure it. We are now much closer to being able to base our policies and programs on real data and evidence.

Are we still doing well?
