This Tribute to Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse was a Cult figure in the world of music. With her eclectic mix of rhythm and blues and jazz. The BBC described her as “the pre eminent vocal talent of her generation”. She was a woman who was deeply proud of her Jewish London roots. And died tragically young".
This Tribute to Amy Winehouse is the Flaghip event of the Amy Winehouse Exhibition by the Jewish Museum of Australia, is a retrospective of her catalogue and influences – AMY WINEHOUSE – A TRIBUTE. This incredible tribute features some of Australia’s finest singers including ELANA STONE (All our Exes Live in Texas), KYLIE AULDIST (The Bamboos, Cookin on 3 Burners), RITA SATCH, LORETTA MILLER (Jazz Party), ALMA ZYGIER, HUSKY GAWENDA (Husky) and LACHLAN MITCHELL (Jazz Party, Vulture Street Tape Gang).
The concert includes Amy’s repertoire as well as tracks from her mixtape, which can be found on display in the exhibition. Musical Director DARCY MCNULTY (Jazz Party / Clairy Browne & The Bangin Rackettes), will head up an all star band featuring many of Melbourne’s finest musicians.
MEMO Music Hall is a Hidden Gem in St Kilda that many do not know exists. Come along and enter this unique performance venue with a 100 year old history of eclectic shows. Melbourne Forum members will be seated on reserved cocktail tables and are invited to begin the conversation when the doors open at 2pm.
