Why have poker machines become such a vexed policy and political issue? What are the shifts that are occurring and the significant change we can expect in the future? What can be a game changer that will dramatically reduce the terrible cost to Australian lives and communities caused by poker machines?
Allison Keogh is a Board member and spokesperson for the Alliance for Gambling Reform, which is addressing gambling addiction and the impact of poker machines by facilitating community education and outreach across Australia. Alison is a practising consultant in leadership impact, culture and change.
She grew up in a family harmed by poker machine addiction so has a lived experience of harm from poker machines and has worked with many impacted others.
