The power of intergenerational diversity in the boardroom

Members' Lunch with Paul Smith

Hosted by:
Simon Savage

May 30, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

$80.00 – $95.00

“Diversity is a source of Resilience, Innovation, Strength and ultimately, Assurance. If you don’t have it in your boardroom you may not be maximising your performance” – Paul Smith.

Paul Smith will be in Melbourne for two days only in May, and will be joining us to lead this conversation of interest to future and existing directors and those who have an interest in creating a meaningful change in the boardroom for the next generation.

Paul is passionate about transforming the average boardroom to include curious young professional aspiring directors, encouraging them to being an influencer in the boardroom and helping these emerging directors find and secure the right seat and the right table. As the CEO and co-founder of the Future Directors Institute his mission is to support young people throughout their board career as they increase their influence, reputation, earnings and ultimately, their impact in Australia, the US and in New Zealand.

Paul is the past Chair of a major Australian NGO and was their youngest director by over 15 years. He currently sits on startup and international boards, as well as advising boardrooms on succession planning and governance structures.

Finally, Paul is an international keynote speaker, runs the popular podcast called Boardroom Hustle and has just launched his first book, ‘Right Seat, Right Table’, a guide for finding and securing the ideal board role.
