What Can We Do About Climate Change?

MF Digital with Dr Sheila Nguyen and Chris Arnott

Hosted by:
Dr Jonathan Spear

June 15, 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Free – $20

The existential global challenge of climate change – with all its environmental, economic, social, technological and political complexities – can be overwhelming.

So, what can we practically do as individuals to mitigate and prepare for climate change? What is our personal role in getting to net zero? And how can we help achieve this in our various roles as citizens, employers, employees, consumers, investors and members of organisations like the Melbourne Forum?

In this interactive Members’ Panel event, we will attempt to answer these questions and progress our thinking in light of the challenges posed by Dr Alan Finkel AO at Melbourne Forum event on 9 June.

To get us started on this discussion, Members Dr Sheila Nguyen and Chris Arnott will provide their insights on what we can do about climate change. Sheila is Executive Director of the Sports Environment Alliance and a Director of the Melbourne Forum. Chris is a water and natural resource management expert and Director of Segovia Consulting. The discussion will be moderated by Dr Jonathan Spear, Deputy CEO of Infrastructure Victoria and a Melbourne Forum Director.

This Zoom event will provide an opportunity for all participants to share their reflections on the challenges and opportunities posed by Alan Finkel, Sheila and Chris.

We look forward to you joining us for a provoking and practical discussion.
