$35.00The Itinerant Architect: A Man Within All Countries
We are delighted to be returning to the Justin Art House Museum for a very special evening with Donald Bates as he presents The Itinerant Architect; A Man within All Countries, followed by a viewing of the JAHM Exhibition and refreshments.
Professor Donald Bates is the Associate Dean (Engagement) Melbourne School of Design Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning and Director of LAB Architectural Studio – the architects of Melbourne’s Federation Square, and more recently, the company that has just completed the refurbishment of the Equity Chambers – Victoria’s oldest continuously occupied barristers’ chambers – which was built in 1931 on the site of the state’s first synagogue.
Donald Bates has called Melbourne home for 23 years but has experienced life in many cities throughout the world. His talk will explore what it means to work as an architect when one is never truly at home – but is always able to feel local.
These tours and conversations do sell quickly, so don’t delay in securing your spot.
