If it was the year that was, what do you care about now and what will you change?
Will it be – Society, Relationships, the Economy, Health, Climate, Education, Travel…etc.

Our final Life and Times Interest Group for 2020 will delve into these thoughts with a special 1.5 hour event.

We are delighted that the Group discussion will be lead by Dr Helen Sykes AM:

Helen Sykes is the Director of Future Leaders, President of the Trust for Young Australians, Vice President of the Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and Democracy Watchdogs, Summit Governor of the Hillary Institute, Board Member of the Public Interest Journalism Foundation and Melbourne Forum. She has published and edited many books.

We may all be living in interesting times, to quote the apocryphal curse, but how we choose to do so is up to us.

We might find new ways to celebrate family by feasting, turn a formal dining room into a makeshift gymnasium, reach for the farthest corners of our library, go back to university to complete that long-delayed thesis, practice mindfulness in the tool shed or strategize rebuilding the economy and creating a new culture of work. There is at least as much that we can do than there is the obverse that we can’t.

Why not join a group that’s prepared to share the spoils of this pandemic?

Remember, our interest groups are for members only and are kept to low numbers to ensure we each get plenty of airtime, so get in quick!
