Marooned – A play about suicide which focuses on suicide prevention

- A Cultural Life Series event

Hosted by:
Pamela Creed

September 25, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$42.00 – $43.00

Four souls are Marooned in a room in the afterlife. They have no connection other than they have all tried but failed to take their own lives. They don’t know how they survived but as time passes they begin to yearn to go home and fear that they won’t. A fear and a want that manifests into an insatiable hunger to live. But despite this hunger they are still Marooned.

Why would you go and see a play about suicide?

Because it is a play about life, about communication. It takes the subject seriously, using our greatest qualities – humor under stress, empathy and courage to deliver a brave story full of hope.

The play takes an unpopular topic and makes it meaningful and entertaining.

It opens dialogues, discussions and an opportunity for eventual healing.

The play has been highly praised by those who have seen it to date.
