– Members’ Lunch with the founder of the Melbourne Forum

The path forward for the ‘centre/conservative’ parties as they seek to recover from the federal election.

In the wake of the Federal Election, Melbourne Forum founder and political veteran John Ridley will lead this discussion on the changes in Australian politics over the past 10 years and options for re-establishing a ‘sensible centre’ of Australian politics.

John is principal of communications strategy consultancy the Clifton Group. He is a law graduate with extensive experience in the public and private sectors. He was Chief of Staff to foreign Minister Andrew Peacock and was later State Director of the Victorian Division of the Liberal Party. He has followed politics closely but is no longer a member of the Liberal Party. He is now a member of Fiona Patten’s Reason Party.
