We are a community of curious, connected and interested Melburnians contributing to and engaging on the important issues of today and tomorrow.

Melbourne Forum gives you access to the highest level of expertise and real-world lessons that our conversation leaders – all with a reputation for excellence – bring to the table under the Chatham House rule.

We are committed to providing a platform for, and the increased visibility of, diverse voices.

With varied formats (in-person or virtual; conversation leader or members engaging with each other; learning from experts or new experiences) there are multiple ways to participate.

Melbourne Forum 2022 AGM

The AGM is a Members' Only event

Hosted by:
Prof Ian Dunn AM

November 16, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Free

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Melbourne Forum Limited will be held at 5.30pm sharp on Wednesday 16 November 2022 at The Kelvin Club, Melbourne Lane, Melbourne. The business of the AGM and additional key documents can be accessed via the following links:

RSVP by 5pm Wednesday 9 November 2022

– Notice of Meeting and Proxy Form including details on the business of the meeting

– A director nomination form for election to the board

– A nomination form for Committee / Task Group

Melbourne Forum can only operate as it does with the greatest assistance from so many volunteers who contribute so much to our program. I would like to encourage you, even if you are amongst the many new members, to consider nominating for the board or committees. Important committees are program, membership, IT, communications and interest groups (this year included our book group, sustainability leadership, Dangerous Dinners etc.) The continuing Fellowship Committee will also need reinforcement.

The Board currently meets bi-monthly at 5pm. Committees also meet every two months. Board members are expected to attend 90 percent of meetings, expected Committee attendance is 80 percent.

The new Board will appoint the Chair, plus Chairs of Committees etc. at its first meeting after the AGM.

If you are interested in nominating, this form will need to be returned to the Executive Officer no later than 5:00pm Tuesday 8 November 2022.

If anyone wishes to discuss the situation I would be delighted.

I look forward to seeing you at the AGM and to your continued involvement with the Forum.

Yours sincerely,

Ian Dunn AM

Chair, Melbourne Forum
